Biography

José Fernández-Albertos holds a doctorate in Political Science from Harvard University (2007), a master’s degree (2002) and a doctor-member’s degree (2007) from the Centre for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences at the Juan March Institute, and a degree in Political and Administrative Sciences (1998) and a Diploma in Advanced Studies (2002) from the Complutense University of Madrid.
His thesis, entitled “Domestic Institutions and Exchange Rate Politics in the Open Economy”, analyses the institutional determinants of the relationship between economic openness and political preferences for different types of exchange rate regimes.
He is currently researching the intersection of the areas of comparative political economy, international political economy, and comparative politics.
