María Díez-Garrido is a predoctoral researcher in communication at the University of Valladolid. She completed an MA in Communication Research as Socio-Historic Agent at the same university. She works in the Recognized Research Group New Trends in Communication and is part of the University of Valladolid’s Reflection and Study Group for Online Communication (GRECO). She is a member of the research team for the R&D+i project 2015-2016 Online Campaign Strategies of Spanish Political Parties (Complutense University of Madrid), financed by the Spanish Ministry for the Economy and Competitiveness. Her work deals fundamentally with digital communication, social networks, transparency and open government.
